After a year of staying local and limiting our travel, we are extra excited for the arrival of summer, and we’re sure you are, too! We’ve compiled a list of the top adventure locations to visit this summer, along with a few of the many thrills they offer.

Grand Canyon National Park

(Arizona)

The largest of Arizona’s national parks, the Grand Canyon is a majestic site. Here, you’ll find that the adventure opportunities are just as grand as the canyon!

What can you do?

  • Take one of the most scenic bike rides of your life. 
  • Camp in your RV at one of the many campgrounds. 
  • Take a fun tour of the canyon by mule
  • Go whitewater rafting ー the experience of a lifetime!

Jackson Hole

(Wyoming)

Jackson Hole is an up-and-coming tourist destination, with endless adventure packed into a small-town experience. If you’re looking for a late-summer vacation spot, September is one of the best months to visit Jackson Hole.

What can you do?

  • Take a long, scenic soak in the Granite Hot Springs. 
  • Visit a rodeo for some good Wild West fun!
  • Hike/ride/drive in the Grand Tetons.
  • Go rafting on the Snake River.

Lake Tahoe

With a depth of 1600 feet, Lake Tahoe is one of the deepest lakes in North America. Cuddled by mountain peaks, Lake Tahoe is a year-round dream destination, but we are especially excited about the many adventures that summer has to offer!

What can you do?

  • Get out on a boat! Maybe you will find a secret cove.
  • Go paddleboarding or enjoy the sandy beaches.
  • Fish in the lake and surrounding rivers.
  • Hit the many hiking trails on foot or by bike.
  • Explore Lake Tahoe’s historical side.

Moab

Full of mountains, canyons, arches and the Colorado river, Moab is the go-to nature blast for bikers, hikers, campers and anyone who’s enthusiastic about watersports. The sites and activities at Moab are appropriate for all ages!

What can you do?

  • Visit Arches National Park and hike to Delicate Arch (featured in photo).
  • Bike Slickrock Trail (short ride ー 3 miles; full ride ー 12 miles).
  • Explore Island in the Sky ー a spectacular view in Canyonland.

Yellowstone National Park
